My name is Steven Simpson, President of Akoma Ntoso Foundation. Our cause is to empower residents in rural Ghana by enhancing medical, health and education initiatives. Our foundation embodies a lifelong passion of mine to help others invest in training and developing local knowledge and skills in rural communities.
I am Celina Moore, MD, FAAP, director of Pediatrics at the Atria Institute, Palm Beach, Florida. It is my lifelong desire to help others less fortunate. My goal is to educate, empower, and advocate for sustainable quality healthcare in rural Ghana by creating an international humanitarian relationship with our Ghanaian partners.
I am a registered nurse with the Ghanaian Health Service and worked in public health in rural Ghana since 2015. I am known to my patients and friends as Washington. I am in charge of local operations and community outreach through Akoma Ntoso Foundation. My goal is to ensure that healthcare services are made available and accessible to rural villagers regardless of geographical settlement, age, gender, religion, or ethnic background.
I am a health records management graduate from the College of Health and Well-Being in Kintampo, Ghana. I am a co-founder of Akoma Ntoso Foundation, managing the Ghanian arm of rural outreach projects. I have the heart of a humanitarian and I love rendering service to others. I have worked for many years in various NGO organizations to help coordinate humanitarian services to the rural villages of Ghana and my expertise is now geared towards the mission of Akoma Ntoso Foundation. I believe that serving others puts joy in their hearts and smiles on their faces. I also love fashion, sewing, cooking, and listening to music.
Akoma Ntoso Foundation is a nongovernmental, not for profit partnership between American and Ghanaian volunteering groups whose vision is to contribute to the medical well-being, healthy lifestyle, and educational enhancement of residents in disadvantaged communities in rural Ghana.
